At MOOSH, we believe that a small act of good will lead to lasting positive change. That’s why we dedicate 25% of our profits to a global issue the world currently faces. The issue we support changes annually to address many global challenges. Plus, we give a dollar for every cookie we sell at mhsMOOSH! By choosing our baked goods, you not only treat yourself, but you also make a meaningful impact in our world. Together, we can make a difference in the community one cookie at a time. We are grateful for your support in this mission and thank you for being a part of our journey!

What if your next meal wasn’t guaranteed? That’s what over 44 million people in the nation are thinking about right now, including 13 million children. Every day, these individuals face food insecurity and can’t access the food they need to live their life to the fullest. This daily worry causes stress and negatively affects their mental and physical health. For children, this affects their ability to focus in school, which leads to having low energy throughout the day, and causes them to miss activities due to frequent sickness. For adults, food insecurity results in less productivity at work and at home. Having already struggled to provide food for their family, this makes it even harder to break free from the cycle of poverty. Understanding food insecurity and its consequences for communities is essential for developing effective solutions. So, how can we work together to address food insecurity and eliminate hunger for every individual in the nation?
Here are four ways YOU can help:
The easiest of them all, you can do it here from your tablet, computer, or phone: Learn more about food insecurity, its causes, its history, and its long-lasting effects from COVID. Read articles, watch videos, or join the #EndHungerIn30 challenge! This challenge is an online course created by the Zero Hunger Academy, which trains you to become an effective anti-hunger advocate. Learn through discussions, articles, statistics, and first hand experiences.
Reduce your food waste! Did you know that 30 to 40% of the nation’s food supply goes to waste? That’s about 133 billion pounds and $161 billion worth of food that could’ve helped feed families. You can reduce your food waste by cooking with what you already have, know when your food expires, and avoid serving too much.
Volunteer! Look for local food banks to help out at and promote or find soup kitchens where you can led a helping hand.
Donate, Donate, Donate! You can donate money to organizations or donate food items directly to food drives and food banks. Supporting organizations helps fund for more research, helps in ways individuals wouldn’t be able to, and raises awareness about the causes. You can donate through the organizations’ website or make a donation here. Either way, your support makes a meaningful impact!
This year we are dedicating 25% of our profits towards battling food insecurity, plus giving a dollar for every mhsMOOSH cookie purchase. The collected money will be distributed evenly among multiple organizations to support their fight with food insecurity. We choose to support many different organizations advocating for the same global issue and not just one organization because we believe different organizations help in different ways and every one of them is valuable. By doing this we can fight multiple aspects of food insecurity from the biggest challenges to more specific initiatives.
At the moment, we are considering donating to Feeding America and No Kid Hungry. If you have any suggestions on other places to donate or concerns about our donation system, please feel free to share your thoughts on our Contact Us page!
